Last week I talked a bit on my instagram stories about a safe + natural deodorant we’re using in our home. It received a large response from many of you and so I thought I would share it here too as a place you can refer back to or send others to in case someone you know may be looking for something safe and natural too.
We have been using this product since late summer and I cannot say enough good things about it. After months experimenting with different recipes in my own kitchen and trying other natural options, I failed to land on something that really worked well. I was motivated to find something safe for various reasons but what really triggered this journey for me was my oldest daughter. We noticed she was starting to show signs of perspiration, all natural changes in her body, and we wanted to find something that was going to help her out. While I thought I had a couple more years before crossing this bridge with her and having these very adult-like conversations, here we are. And so we’re making it a teachable moment for not only how we take care of the body but how to be mindful about what we put on it and reasons why.
I heard about this product on our local talk radio and thought I’d give it a try. I loved what I heard. And loved that it was made by an OBGYN. What I love most about Lume is that it is safe for all, that it has a 48 hour shield protection, and that it is also safe for private areas. Hormone changes just don’t happen to our youth. It happens to us adults too. I think especially for us women. We tend to go through a lot of changes throughout our lifespan, this product literally carries you through those changes. And it’s SAFE. I’ve heard so many stories of women trying various products to help them through the drastic or even subtle hormonal changes and discover the products they were putting on their body was toxic to their system. Making either their system worse or at risk for other things down the road.
We have found that it works well for Aaron too, who tends to be more sensitive. So for those that have sensitive skin, this may be a good alternative for you and something to try.
